Connaught Timber operates an authorised wood waste recovery and recycling facility in Co. Galway. The environment has always been a top priority for the company, which began recycling wood 30 years ago.
The project was established in response to our customers’ challenges with the disposal of damaged wood pallets and waste wood.

Waste Wood & Pallet Recycling
Registered with REPAK, the Environment Protection Agency , and permitted to collect waste wood and pallets throughout Ireland, Connaught Timber offers a professional and cost-effective service to our recycling customers. We provide monthly and annual reports for the pallets and wood waste we receive, helping you stay compliant with modern waste management regulations.
Our energy-efficient processes ensure that waste wood is repurposed effectively, reducing the carbon footprint and promoting a circular economy.
NuLife Products
The Connaught Timber NuLife range is produced from selected recycled wood.
• NuLife Playground wood fibre is the leading playground woodchip product in Ireland. Used by local authorities and playground contractors nationwide, the Playground surfacing material is certified and regularly tested to EN1177 2018 European standard.
• NuLife Animal Bedding is a softwood product that provides hygienic bedding for use in the equine and farming sector.
• NuLife Garden Wood chip Mulch is manufactured using 100% select recycled timber and natural colourants.
